Principal's Message

Dear Shaull Families,

We simply can't wait for the students to come back on Wednesday! Our plan is to continue building a positive and collaborative school environment with our staff and families throughout this school year while enriching each student with fresh grade level content from our amazing teaching staff. We will have numerous opportunities for families to come to the school for day and evening events throughout the school year. Our wonderful PTO is always a great partner in providing meaningful experiences such as the Fall and Spring dances, Movie Night, Family Fun Nights, Fun Run, and May Fair.

A bit of news we just learned over the past week is that the free breakfast program has been extended by the state of Pennsylvania for this school year. All students will be eligible to stop in for a free breakfast if they choose to do so.

Please keep an eye out for communication from your child's teacher regarding joining their classroom Seesaw account so that you can receive timely information from the classroom and have a glimpse into your child's class throughout the school year. Seesaw is a wonderful communication tool, learning platform, and student work portfolio. You can also reach me on Seesaw if you have a quick question or a concern.

Lastly, please join us on Wednesday, September 6 at the times below for our Back to School - Parent Information Night. We have sessions for the grade spans below to allow for safe and efficient traffic flow/parking which is limited here on our campus.

Grades 1-2:

6:00-7:00 PM (Kindergarten Staff will be at Kindergarten Orientation on 8/21)

Grades 3-5:

7:00-8:00 PM

At the beginning of each session, an optional parent informational meeting will be held in the cafeteria for anyone who chooses to participate. After the Parent Information Night, the presentation will be available as a resource on our website.

We look forward to a wonderful year of partnership and learning here at Shaull! Please do not hesitate to reach out should there be a question or concern along the way.

Respectfully,

Mr. Richard Tysarczyk

School Breakfast and Lunch Information

The Governor’s Office announced recently that all Pennsylvania schoolchildren, regardless of family income, will receive free breakfast during the 2023-24 school year.

Of important note, this is for breakfast ONLY during the 2023-24 school year.

As a reminder, if your child qualifies for free meals through the State (also known as direct certified) or if you completed a free/reduced application after July 1, 2023, and have received a letter stating your child is eligible to receive free/reduced meals, their school lunch will also be FREE. If you have any question regarding your child’s meal status, please do not hesitate to contact the Food Service office.

Families who are not direct certified or who have not already completed an application for the 2023-24 school year are encouraged to click the link below to complete a free/reduced meals application, which is available any time throughout the year, to determine eligibility. An application is not required for PA's 2023-24 free breakfast program.
