Week 5
Week 5 Notes
This week was a wild one. We joined the high school in celebrating homecoming. Throughout the week we had spirit dress-up days and our 8th grade, cross country, girl's basketball, and Raider Leaders took a bus to Hartford to walk in and watch the parade. The students and their teachers had a blast. As I've come to expect, the students did a great job enjoying themselves, but staying appropriate and representing Richfield the way we would hope.
Question of the Week
Before you know it, your child will be off to high school. As a middle school principal, I've learned that the transition to high school can be a huge source of anxiety long for students long before they even enroll. This week, ask your child "What is something you've heard about going to high school that is exciting?" Another question might be "Is there anything about going to high school that makes you nervous?" Whenever I've asked questions like this, I've been surprised.
