Gratitude is not only the greatest of all virtues, but the parent of all others. -Cicero
Upcoming:
November 23-25-Thanksgiving Break
As we go into the week of Thanksgiving, I just went you all to know how thankful I am that I get to work with your wonderful kids each day. It truly is a highlight in my life!
iPads
Parents,
This week we had a class discussion about iPad games. We went through and deleted any non-academic games or widgets on our iPads. The main purpose of a control widget is to display often used functions that the user can trigger right from the home screen without having to open the app first. Think of them as remote controls for an app.Students were accessing games with these widgets during work time in class. We had a serious discussion about this and the students are clear of my expectations and the iLearn agreement rules. Please check your child's iPad and make sure that these apps and widgets remain deleted. It can be challenging to monitor 26 iPads, so your help is essential. Thank you for your help with this!
Eden Lake Assembly
Tuesday, November 22 at 2:30-3:15pm All parents and guardians are invited to attend our celebration focusing on kindness and unity. We will be highlighting the examples of kindness we see everyday, our 6th grade band students will be playing a few pep songs, all students will be learning a second Eden Lake Chant and will also sing the song Fanga Alafia -meaning Unity! All students are encouraged to wear the following colors on Tuesday but no need to go out and purchase anything new if the particular color isn’t in your child’s wardrobe. Any bright color will do! Grade KG – Red, 1st – Orange, 2nd - Yellow, 3rd – Green, 4th – Dark Blue, 5th – Light Blue, and 6th – Purple
Pick up Change
Students getting picked up prior to our 3:40 pm dismissal time will now be picked up at the main office instead of the satellite office. In the event your child does have to leave early please keep in mind our school buses start arriving and lining up around 3:20pm
