Mrs. Noynaert's Kindergarten Class

Week of September 15, 2014

This Week in Room 508

We began our Literacy Rotations this week! During this time, the students complete four different twenty minute stations. One of the stations will always be motor lab with Ms. Williams, which they absoultely love! I will also be meeting with our guided reading groups during this time once the initial assessments have been completed.

Reader's Workshop: Readers Read the Best They Can

We will continue focusing on using the illustrations to help find the meaning and tell the story of books. We will also work on building up our reading stamina!

Writer's Workshop: Classroom Writing Resources

We will focus on using the tools in the writer's workshop binders (the ABC chart, "What I Can Write About" homework, class names), word wall and classroom resources in our daily writing! Thank you to everyone who sent the homework back this week!

Math Stations: Counting and Representing Quantities to 5

We will finish our stations that involve counting and representing quantities to five this week.

*Please sign and return the red folder every day. This is our main form of communication!

*Please send a snack with your child every day. Please do not send the snack in your child's lunchbox. It needs to be something quick and easy to open.

*Please send a water bottle to school with your child labeled with his/her name. The bottles may be left at school until Friday or taken home each day.

*If you have not returned the homework page or sent in a family picture, please do that on Monday. Thank you!
