Dear Rossman Families,


A few notes as we enter a short week leading up to the Thanksgiving Holiday:

  • First trimester comes to a close this Wednesday, November 24. Report cards will be sent home with students on Wednesday, December 1.
  • Reminders regarding after school pick-up - Please continue to park in the designated areas to pick up your student(s). Adjustments may be necessary, particularly the 2nd grade pick-up area on Forest Ave (south side of the street), when we have snow. Changes will be communicated in advance.
  • Visitors in the building - All parents and visitors must have a scheduled purpose or appointment and check in at the office to receive a visitors badge. Only students will be allowed beyond the secure entrance in the morning.

Winter Gear

  • Please label ALL of your child's winter gear. Lost items will be easily returned to rightful owner.
  • If your student needs a warm coat, boots, mittens, hat, or snow pants, please call the Rossman school office. We are happy to assist!

  • Write the number of minutes your student reads (or is read to) each day

  • Parents, please monitor your household for symptoms. Use the COVID Screening Tool and keep your students home if anyone in your household is ill




  • DLPS is closely monitoring active COVID cases within the schools. See the District Covid Dashboard for the number of positive cases, and the District Matrix used to make mitigation decisions.


  • Rossman Elementary Students in Quarantine:
  • Students will be provided materials and resources to continue learning while quarantined
  • Teachers will work with families to communicate and connect with students in quarantine
