February 12
From the principal
Welcome
I hope that everyone has a restful and enjoyable February Vacation week! The students, parents, and staff have ALL been working so hard, please rest up and enjoy the time away! Happy Valentine's Day to one and all. The school will be open between 8:00 am and noon Tuesday through Friday over vacation. Please call if you need anything.
Please find some important information below regarding recent news at PCS along with upcoming events. This school year has been anything but typical, but the staff at PCS have certainly worked hard to provide high quality education for the students of Petersham Center School. A great deal of thanks also goes out to the parents who have supported their children's learning at home during a global pandemic. We are thankful for the the parents and all of their hard work!

MCAS (Slight) Update...
Grades 3-8:
ELA April 5--May 7
Math/Science April 26--May 28
**Actual testing dates for students will be set by the principal in the upcoming weeks.
The Department of Education has released some preliminary guidance on the 2021 spring MCAS. They have announced that all students in grades 3-6 will take MCAS this spring. However, they have stated that it will be an abbreviated test. They are planning to shorten the length of the test by about half the number of questions. They are still planning for us to administer the assessment during the April/May timeframe, but a schedule has been released. I will post more information when it becomes available.
