Principals Message


Dear Lackamas Lightning Families,


I hope this message finds you and your family healthy and well! Lackamas Elementary intends to build the highest quality distance learning program possible, keeping our promises to the community and keeping our students connected to the district. Thank you for being incredible partners in your child's education this year. Our staff is tremendously thankful for your support and care. We will be starting our school year remotely in September. I want you to know that our staff will continue to work extremely hard to provide a great experience for you and your child/children. More information on back to school plans can be found on www.ycs.wednet.edu. We look forward to seeing each of you on September 2nd for learning supply pick up. There are 300 bags just waiting for you. Our hope is to make this event safe, efficient, and provide a kick off to an amazing year of learning. Thank you for making this challenging time a gift--an opportunity to serve each other and grow stronger as a community. Stay safe and healthy. Supply Pick-up Day Drive Through

Wednesday, September 2nd - Whiteboard, markers, workbooks, lunch cards and 1st day packets will be passed out, library books can be returned and pick up chromebook if you don't have one.


Pick-up Times:

1st Grade: 8:30-9:15

2nd Grade: 9:30-10:15

3rd Grade: 10:30-11:15 *Bring your Chromebook and charger*

4th Grade: 11:45-12:30

5th Grade: 12:45-1:30


*Kindergarten will receive their supplies and chromebooks, etc at their meet and greet on 9/3 and 9/4

Third Grade Chrome Book Swap

All 3rd graders need to exchange their current chromebook and charger at the drive-through and it will be exchanged for an updated one.

Per Washington state requirement, incoming student immunizations must be current in order to start school on September 2nd.


Current families with a Family Access account: register online by logging in to your Family Access account.


If you know of new Kindergarten families, please direct them to the New Student Enrollment: Account Request page to get started.


If you are having trouble completing the online registration please go to the Yelm Community School Kindergarten Registration to print, complete, scan and email the completed forms to heather_sheard@ycs.wednet.edu or cindy_blake@ycs.wednet.edu

GRAB N' GO MEALS

Starting September 2nd: pick up meal service for breakfast and lunch will be available at Lackamas from 11:30am - 1:00pm daily. Be sure to have your meal scan card to be charged for your lunch. Parents can pick up without students present.


Where: Lackamas, Fort Stevens, McKenna, Southworth, Ridgeline MS and Yelm High School


When: 11:30am - 1:00pm daily


Evening pick up: Ridgeline MS from 4:30pm - 6:00pm


Cost of meals: Full pay: Breakfast - $1.75 and Lunch - $2.85,

Reduced: K-12th Breakfast - free and K-3rd Lunch - free, 4th -12th Lunch - $.40, 2nd Milk $.50
