WACKY WINDS
WE LOVE TO GET OUR WACKY WINDS ON
Different types of winds
Wind is the movement of air caused by the different types of wind pressure. You have: Global Winds, Local Winds, Prevailing Westerlies, Polar Easterlies, Trade Winds,Doldrums, and Horse Latitudes, Sea Breeze and Land Breeze
Where is Wind
Wind is everywhere around us you can't see it but its there. Blowing your hair around and flying your kite up the wind is there .
Some of The Global Winds
Polar Easterlies
The polar easterlies are the dry, cold prevailing winds that blow from the high-pressure areas of the polar highs at the north and south poles towards low-pressure areas within the Westerlies at high latitudes.
Prevailing Westerlies
Prevailing Westerlies are the winds in the middle latitudes between 35 and 65 degrees latitude. They tend to blow from the high pressure area in the horse latitudes towards the poles
Horse Latitudes
Horse latitudes or subtropical highs are subtropical latitudes between 30 and 38 degrees both north and south where Earth's atmosphere is dominated by the subtropical high, an area of high pressure, which suppresses precipitation and cloud formation, and has variable winds mixed with calm winds
