What's Going On In The World Of Walton's Spanish Classes
Spelling Bee
Region XX is holding their annual Spanish Spelling Bee on February 3rd 2018. We are very excited that we will be able to send two Alamo Heights High School Spanish students.
Let me know if you have any questions or if your child is interested in particpating! We are hoping this event motivates students to read and write more in Spanish. Help us get it off to a great start. Click this link for more information. on the Spanish Spelling Bee.
Día de los Muertos
National Spanish Exam (Immersion Students)
The test fee is $ 6.00, and is due on January 31. Late registration will be available in February for $ 8.00. Participation in the National Spanish exam shows extra dedication to language study, and provides an opportunity to see how students stand relating to Spanish students around the country.
More information to be released as we get closer to the date.
Movie Night
Spanish at Home
Library Game Day
Monthly the Spanish classes within the World Language department have a cross-sectional, cross-level, and cross-program Library Game Day. The purpose of this Game Day is to build fluency in reading, writing, listening, and speaking in the Target Language (Spanish). Having this cross-sectional time allows students to interact not only in a more comfortable environment but with students of various ability as well.
