Please click on the link above if you would like to follow me on twitter. I tweet things that are happening during class or about school.

Movie Night

On Wednesday November 2nd the World Language Department will host a movie night after school from 4-6pm. The French, Spanish, and Latin students will be able to go to their perspective teachers rooms and watch a movie. The Spanish students will be able to come to room 152S and enjoy one of three different movies: The Book of Life or Zip Zap and the Marble Gang (trailer below). Click this link and fill out the Google Form if you give your child permission to attend.

Spanish at Home

Want to learn Spanish at home? I highly recommend using Duolingo. Duolingo is a free app/website that allows you to learn a new language. I personally am learning French through this website. Did I mention it is 100% free...oh and fun!! Check out the link below.

Library Game Day

Monthly the Spanish classes within the World Language department have a cross-sectional, cross-level, and cross-program Library Game Day. The purpose of this Game Day is to build fluency in reading, writing, listening, and speaking in the Target Language (Spanish). Having this cross-sectional time allows students to interact not only in a more comfortable environment but with students of various ability as well.

We are seeking Spanish-speaking volunteers to serve as conversation partners once a month. This is an opportunity to connect with the community as well help our students speak Spanish. We will meet in the library during the morning and afternoon classes. Materials and topics will be provided by the teacher.
