TEEN OBESITY
Canadian
IT SAYS
''The report said on average, adolescents in Canada spend almost 35 hours a week in front of a TV or computer screen - more time than in the classroom over the course of a year. Studies had shown the less time in front of a screen and the more activity, the less weight.''
As well as.
''More Canadian children are over weight and for the first time the country's younger generations are expected to live shorter lives than their parents because of obesity, says a new Commons committee report made public yesterday.''
I SAY
Its crazy that we spend more time on the computer screen, than we do in a classroom, since we go to school 5 times a week, 7 hours a day. I think kids, including me, should read this article and realize that its important to lay low on the time on the device and spend more time outside, and getting some fresh air. It's important to keep track of everything, and to be aware.
For the second quote:
It's possible to live till 100. 90, even. But kids today are expected to live before that. It's scary to know we kids are going to have a way shorter life than our parents. 60-70. That means we are going to live under that. Have a longer life is better and we are messing with that because we aren't watching our weight, and spending our time on the computer. We need to start to watch out, and take care of our bodies.
AND SO
We need kids to realize all of this, and to consider changing their daily routine to a more, productive routine.
