Remember, January weather is unpredictable, so give extra time in the morning so that students arrive to school on time. Have a great second semester. Go Broncos! Go Fillies!
Just a few reminders as we begin the second semester:
New BHS Attendance Procedures
Starting in the spring semester of 2022, when a student is too ill to attend school, parents should report the absence online via the parent portal (the app or on a browser here) of Infinite Campus on the day of the absence.
Automated attendance phone calls are made at 11 AM. Any absence not reported online will result in a phone call. If parents do not contact the school, the student’s absence will be considered unexcused.
Any student leaving campus for a scheduled absence during the school day must:
- Sign out at the Attendance Office
Receive a “Permit to Leave” pass
Sign back in when they return
Early dismissal should be reported online via the parent portal of Infinite Campus (the app or on a browser here) to leave school early or to sign in late. Students must leave campus for those periods designated by the parental excuse.
Once a student arrives on campus for their school day, they may not leave campus at any time without permission and must follow the Attendance Office sign-out procedures.
See attached pdf for attendance reporting directions.

Dear BHS Parents/Guardians~
In order to plan for the second half of the 2021-22 school year, Barrington 220 is seeking student vaccination information. Providing proof of vaccination is voluntary. However, students who have not provided proof will be considered unvaccinated for contact tracing purposes. Additionally, understanding the percentage of students who have received the vaccination is a critical data point as we work to maintain a healthy school environment. At this time, children age 5 and over are eligible to receive a COVID-19 vaccination.
If your child is fully vaccinated (two doses), please send a copy (either a photo or PDF format) of your child’s vaccination card to districtnurseoffice@barrington220.org. Please include your child’s first and last name, as well as the school your child attends.
If your child has only received one dose, please send a copy of your child’s vaccination card once the second dose has been administered. If you indicated your child’s vaccination status through Infinite Campus earlier this fall, we are asking that you still submit a photo of your child’s vaccination card to the email listed above.
If you have any questions, please contact our District Nursing Coordinator, Bridget Heroff at bherroff@barrington220.org
College Panel
The BHS PTO is hosting its annual College Panel on Tuesday, January 11, 2022 at 7 pm in the auditorium.
All BHS students along with parents are invited to learn more about college and post high school life and experiences from recent BHS alums. This is a candid and invaluable discussion!
