The Richardson Review
August 2021
Dear Richardson Students & Families,
Welcome to the 2021-2022 school year at Richardson Elementary School! I hope you are enjoying a fabulous summer and had the opportunity to rest and recharge and are now ready for a new school year. We are so excited to begin this new school year, getting back to the work we love!
As a team, we look forward to partnering with you to ensure that your child can be his or her most amazing self as a Richardson Penguin (Penguins are our school mascot, so we refer to all of our students, families and staff as Penguins). We have a new Penguin Promise to share with you this year. The Penguin Promise clearly states the way we do things at Richardson and focuses on ensuring that all students, families and staff have a sense of belonging. Stay tuned for more information as we introduce our new Penguin Promise this year.
I want to let you know that we have a new position at Richardson this year. Emily Galle-From, many of you know as a former teacher and most recently an Instructional Coach at Richardson, will now be working as our student Dean. She may be someone who will contact you throughout the year, as she will be working closely with me and our two Student Success Coaches, Mrs. Ahlam and Mr. Kiekow, to support students in having a successful school experience.
Lastly, we are also writing to give you some important information to help you get ready for the start of the school year. So, please take a few moments to read the information below and do not hesitate to contact us with any questions or concerns.
I eagerly look forward to seeing you all again and look forward to partnering with you to ensure a wonderful, successful year for every student at Richardson!
Take care and stay healthy!
Lisa Gruenewald (Ms. G)
Principal
