The Aztecs

Who were they?
The Aztecs were a group of people that lived, and dominated the Mesoamerican area from the 14th to 16th Century, as of the 13th century, the Valley of Mexico was the heart of the Aztec Empire. Although, most of the Aztec Culture has only been discovered through archaeological evidence.

How did they communicate?
The people of the Aztec Empire, mainly spoke a language called Nahuatl, today, Nahuatl is spoke now in scattered communities, it is not spoken too much anymore, as in the it is a dying language.
How did they live?
The culture of the Aztecs was a very diverse thing, they based their culture upon a calendar, the Aztec Calendar, they also believed in live sacrifices for their gods, they would cut the heart out of a living person, in order to appease the god, so that he would not punish the people of the Aztecan Empire.

The people of the Aztecan Empire wore very high quality clothing, possibly and even better Fashion Sense than today's generation.
The best known ancient Aztec weapon is the maquahuitl, this is very powerful close contact sword. This came in two different varieties- one handed and two handed. These were made from wood (usually oak). They were also embedded in the edges was obsidian (volcanic stone) or flint.
