Ahoy from the Burnet STREAM Team!

Welcome back and happy 2021! We are excited to start the second semester and look forward to a healthy and successful remainder of the school year.

Please continue to help us in the following ways:

- Parents, please take note of our dismissal procedures below-- we are working on making this process faster and we appreciate your continued cooperation!

Parents: Students will not be admitted into the building until 7:20. If you arrive at the campus before 7:20, please have your student remain in the vehicle until the doors are open. In the morning, please only use the left-most lane to drop off students.

Burnet Media Arts Club

Our Media Arts Club is working on reading from a teleprompter under the guidance of Ball High Media Coach, Mike Dudas! Our program is run through the GISD Texas ACE Program for 3rd & 4th grade students.

Galveston Arts Center Art Club

Attention parents of Burnet 3rd & 4th graders!

GAC is offering scholarships for their Wednesday after-school Art Club this semester! Students can attend virtually or in-person at GAC (with masks and social distancing) and it all starts next week!

The club will be focusing on ceramics for the first half of the semester.

Scholarships are available for students on the free or reduced lunch program who have been recommended by a teacher. Materials are supplied and the cost is just $8/month for the semester with the scholarship.

AM Drop-off Procedures

- ALL cars must enter from 57th street. No entry to any parking lots will be permitted from Avenue S.

- Morning drop off is only using ONE LANE

PM Dismissal Procedures

Car Riders - ALL cars must enter from 57th street. No entry to any parking lots will be permitted from Avenue S. Pre-K cars ONLY should utilize the left lane/Lane 1-- if you have a student in Pre-K AND in another grade, please do not use this lane. All other cars should pick up students from the right lane/Lane 2. Please keep an empty lane in between cars to ensure the safety of our students. Please see the diagram below clarification.

Walkers - Walkers can be collected from Exit 3C (fenced playground area). Please maintain social distancing while waiting for students. Parents- for your own safety, please be sure to use the designated crosswalk on Avenue S.
