Sixth grade artists featured in Lake Oswego
Sixth grade artists at Kraxberger Middle School have their watercolor paintings on exhibit this month in the main hallway of the Lakewood Center for the Arts in Lake Oswego. Their work was inspired by French-Russian Modernist Marc Chagall.
"Everyone is loving the exhibit, and I want to invite people to stop by and see them in person before the end of January," said art teacher Audrey Delgado. The Lakewood Center is located at 368 S. State Street in Lake Oswego.
Use goal setting to start the new year right
As we enter 2023 it is a great time to focus on yearly goals. According to Positive Psychology, "goals...help align your focus and promote a sense of self-mastery. In the end, you can't manage what you don't measure and you can't improve upon something that you don't properly manage."
Goal setting is a tool that can help someone focus and build habits that lead to efficiency and organization, reducing stress. If you don't know where to start, take a look at this Goal Planning sheet!
There are also some engaging books you can read (or listen to!). The book written by Charles Duhigg, The Power of Habit, and Atomic Habits, by James Clear are two fantastic books that walk through how one small task creates a snowball effect to positive changes in your life. Curl up by the fireplace, read it as a family, or create a book club to start the year right!
