Middle School Musical This Weekend

This year's middle school musical, Cinderella Kids, is scheduled for this weekend. Tickets are general admission and are on sale in the 5-12 office (See Mrs. Condra). The cost of each ticket is $5, and show times are Fri., Feb. 5 and Sat., Feb. 6 at 7 p.m. and Sunday, Feb. 7 at 2 p.m. in Morris Auditorium.

A Common Love: Senior Night 2016

Last night marked the last regular season home game for this year's Panthers and the last for senior basketball players and cheerleaders. Parents and seniors gathered in center court to pray and sing following the senior presentation. Thank you, seniors, for many good memories. You'll always be Panthers!

Jr. Civitans Sell Kisses for CP Center

For years the Jr. Civitan Club has sold oversized Hershey's Kisses for $1 each to benefit the Cerebral Palsy Center. Club members are taking orders at lunch every day until Thurs., Feb. 11. Hershey's Kisses will be delivered on Fri., Feb. 12 to elementary, middle, and high school students. You may order Hershey's Kisses by sending money and information (to/from/[last period] teacher's name) in an envelope to Jeanne Foust, High School. If you have questions, email jfoust@mhbs.org.

K4 and Kindergarten Open House

Our K4 and Kindergarten Open House is March 1st. Please contact the elementary office (256-767-1203 Ext. 2026) if you have friends or family members with children this age that you would like for us to invite. The registration fee for K4 and kindergarten students will be waived if they register at Open House.

Congratulations are in Order...

Sophomores Seth Jacobs and Seth Swinea both received invitations to the Capstone Leadership Academy at the University of Alabama. Only 140 sophomores across the state are chosen.

John Medley is our 2016 Geography Bee winner, and Ethan Trousdale is our runner-up. Way to go, boys!

Lyndsey Young
is our school's nominee for 2016 Shoals Scholar Dollar Student of the Year. Kaytlin Marquess is the 2A Region 8 Bryant-Jordan Student Athlete Achievement winner. Congratulations, Lindsey and Kaytlin!

Talent Show Coming in March

Registration forms for the Talent Show are the 5-12 offices. Deadline to register is Fri., Feb. 12. The show will be Mon., March 7, and details are on the registration form.

Revised Student Attendance Policy

Parents, you should have received an email last week (1/28) that explains our revised student attendance policy, which went into effect this week. Thank you for reading, understanding, and supporting the policy. If you have questions, you may email Mr. Rutherford at drutherford@mhbs.org.

Monthly Booster Meetings Set

Athletic Booster Club meetings will be held on the last Monday of each month. Get involved! Everyone is invited.

Yearbooks are on sale! Avoid price increases by ordering before deadlines listed below.

March 1-April 30--$75

May 1-May 20--$80

You may send cash or a check made out to Mars Hill Bible School. Please include the student’s name and grade or use the order forms that were given to students at an earlier date. You may also order from the Mars Hill Bible School website. On the home page, click on the yearbook icon, and order your yearbook using a credit card. Please note that the company will charge you a $2.00 processing fee.
