Homecoming 2014 Is Here!

See below to find out the events happening from October 6th-October 11th!

Day 1 - October 6th, 2014

Spirit Day: 50's Day - Think Grease! (Letterman Jackets, jeans and white tees, poodle skirts, polkadots, hair ribbons, etc.)


Schedule G (Rally Schedule)


2nd Period: Rally!


  • Rally during second period in the big gym! Come see Homecoming Court, watch Dance Spectrum Perform and win Sparta Cup Points by participating in the games!


Lunch: Soda Bar and Speed Dating


  • Head to the quad and make ice cream floats or flavored sodas and meet the Homecoming Court of 2014!

Day 2 - October 7th, 2014

Spirit Day: 60's/70's Day - Rock 'n Roll and Hippies! (Band T-Shirts, tie dye, bell bottom jeans, disco themed clothes)


Lunch: Homecoming Paint Fling


  • Help decorate homecoming court by spraying colorful paint on homecoming court's white clothing and give them an amazing hands on tie-dye job!

Day 3 - October 8th, 2014

Spirit Day: 80's Day (Neon/Bright colors, workout clothes, leg warmers, hair scrunchies, denim/leather jackets)


Lunch: Sumo Wrestling and Cotton Candy


  • Get a chance sumo wrestle someone on Homecoming Court and get some Cotton Candy!


Lunch: Homecoming King/Queen Elections


  • Bring your student ID's to vote for who you want your Homecoming King and Queen to be!

Day 4 - October 9th, 2014

Spirit Day: #tbt (Wear your favorite childhood outfits from your middle school, elementary school, baby years!)


Lunch: Homecoming Court Walk Through


  • Meet your homecoming court on a deeper level as they make their way down the stage in the quad


Lunch: Homecoming King/Queen Elections


  • Bring your student ID's to vote for who you want your Homecoming King and Queen to be!


After School: 4-8 PM: Float Building Night


  • Help your class build your float for the parade!


After School: 4-8 PM: Float Building Night Food Sales


  • Seniors: Pizza
  • Juniors: Donuts
  • Sophomores: Cookies
  • Freshmen: TPumps

Day 5 - October 10th, 2014

Spirit Day: Spartan Pride Day (Class t-shirts, MVHS gear, MVHS sports wear)


Schedule F: Minimum Day


12:15-1:30: Homecoming Picnic


  • On the soccer fields behind the 500 wing. Clubs will be selling food, there will be inflatables to play on, and get your face painted black and yellow for the football game.


  • Bring your student ID's to vote for who you want your Homecoming King and Queen to be!


2:30: MVMB Field Show



  • Come out to the football field right after the parade and watch Mountain View Marching Band's perform their Contagion Field Show! Also, after the show, find out which class has the best float this year!



1:30-2:30: Homecoming Parade


  • Watch class floats, dance spectrum, various clubs and teams, and the Homecoming Court come by on Truman Avenue.


4:30: Frosh/Soph Football Game at Foothill College


  • Come to the football stadium at Foothill College to watch Mountain View's Frosh/Soph Football Team take on rivals Los Altos


Inbetween Games


  • King and Queen of Homecoming will be announced as well as the winners of the float competition


7:00: Varsity Football Game at Foothill College


  • Come to the football stadium at Foothill College to watch Mountain View's Varsity Football Team take on rivals Los Altos. At halftime, Homecoming King and Queen will be announced!

September 22nd-28th : $20 with ASB, $25 without ASB
