Last Day of School - May 20
We will have grade level assemblies, celebrations, and fun activities for the students to engage in during the last day of school. If a student doesn’t follow the behavior expectations of school, parents/guardians will be called to pick their student up early. If you don’t believe your student will comply with the expectations, you may choose to keep them at home as it’s a non academic day.
Attention 8th Grade Parents: 8th Grade Celebration-Information and Sign up
Please join us in celebrating your student’s middle school journey on Tuesday, May 18th. We want to give the 8th graders and their families/friends/guests a celebration to showcase their growth as they continue their journey to high school while meeting social distancing guidelines to the best of our ability. Our celebration will be outside and will incorporate students rotating through 3 stations for a total of 15 minutes. Students are working on a Journey & Farewell Poster in 8th grade English Language Arts which will prepare them to answer a question at two stations and then celebrate with a certificate and pictures.
We plan to have six different 15-minute time slots that groups of approximately 35 students and their guests can sign up for starting at 5:30 pm. Please feel free to sign up and organize friendship groups to celebrate and capture photos together. Please attend during your time slot only. The entrance into the celebration will be between the bleachers and field house on the football field. The rest of the details will be shared with your student(s) during WIN time before the celebration. There are no capacity limitations and face masks are not required to attend.
Please take time to sign-up for a time slot to celebrate your student HERE. You may direct questions to our office staff at 970-833-7200. We look forward to celebrating with you on the 18th.

Thank a Teacher
Over the past 8 years, the Foundation has raised more than one million dollars to put countless more tools for innovation and collaboration into the hands of our students. Those tools include over a thousand Chromebook computers and iPads, musical instruments, 3D printers, robotics equipment, and so much more. As part of Teacher Appreciation Week in May, we invite you to participate in our seventh annual “Thank a Teacher” program, through which you can honor your child’s teacher(s) in a unique way and help us continue this important mission to foster innovation and empower success in our schools.
Through this program, each teacher or staff member within the district who is honored by a donation of $10 or more will receive a certificate of appreciation from the Education Foundation that will include the name of the family/student making the donation (it will not include the amount of the contribution). Multiple gifts may be made if you would like to donate at least $10 per teacher honored.
To participate, please complete the bottom of this notice and send it, along with a check made payable to the Weld RE-4 Education Foundation, to the address below. Please be sure to complete ALL requested information and submit it prior to May 17th in order to help us timely deliver the honor certificates before the end of school year. Donations are tax-deductible as allowed by law.
Sincerely,
Heather Kintz, Foundation President
