WJ PARENT GROUPS
Which one is right for you? Answer: All of them!
The PTSA's mission is to engage families at Walter Johnson in programs and events that will support their child's academic potential, social and athletic opportunities, and health and wellness. We foster communication between staff, parents and students and advocate for funding to support our schools. The PTSA does no fundraising - your membership is our sole support. Please be generous!
Please visit us at on the Walter Johnson website for more information on meetings and membership.
We hope to see you at our first meeting, which is September 15th at 7pm in the media center.
All-School Booster Club
The WJ Booster Club is comprised of parents, staff and students who support the notion that extracurricular activities are an integral part of the educational experience.
Our Booster Club is unique because we support all WJ extracurricular activities, not just sports. We have two main sources of support. The first is through membership; your membership helps provide support to our students in their activities. The second source of support is our fundraising events; our biggest fundraising events are the mulch sale, used book fair and our school store.
Please join us at our first meeting, October 14, where you will learn all about what Boosters is doing for all students at WJ.
Please visit the WJ Booster Club website for more information on membership and upcoming meetings.

WJ Ed Foundation
The WJ Ed Foundation focuses on supplementing school system funding to take WJ’s programs from great to excellent and to provide opportunities for all students to use modern, professional quality equipment in courses taught by broadly trained staff. We work with the school to raise funds for facilities improvements, student programs and staff development grants. Your donations and those from the community, including WJ’s “share” of the Kensington 8K Race (on September 19th this year) support our projects. One of our main fundraisers is our Wildcat Walkway that is starting to fill up with engraved bricks honoring students, staff and alumni. We will hold a fall fundraiser- look for information soon about our “Lights, Camera, Auction” event.
Please visit The Ed Foundation website and give as generously as you can.
Download the WJ App
The PTSA initiated the development of a WJHS app for iPhones and Androids, with funding provided by the PTSA and the WJ Education Foundation. With this app, students and parents will have important school information at their fingertips; including bell times, the school's calendar, sports and club information, and the school's Twitter, Facebook, and other social media outlets.
