Dear Parents / Carers,

We have had another busy week at Kirk Fenton.

On Tuesday, Key Stage Two enjoyed a cricket session with coaches from Yorkshire Cricket Club which they enjoyed. They learnt a range of new skills and were able to improve their game. It was great to see some sport outside for the first time this year too. Well done to those children!

Today we were treated to Year 5 (Shakespeare's) class worship. Mrs Bembridge told me how proud the children were of their learning and how well they presented it to KS2 and their parents. Thank you for coming to support your child and well done Year 5! Next week it is the turn of Coehlo Class.

We are all looking forward to the Curry and Quiz organised by the Friends of Kirk Fenton this evening. I'm sure it will be a fantastic event.

Have a lovely weekend,

Karen Williams

Well done to everyone that has been working hard on their maths this week. It is great to see an improvement in maths skills when looking in maths books. Special congratulations go to Elspeth M, Betsy D, Harry S-P, Alistair G and Eva K-E for their excellent effort on Numbots this week. Our TT Rockstars of the week are Tommy J, Coby W, Oliver G, Sam C and Grace P. Well done everyone!

Message from Head Pupils

This week, KS2 participated in a wonderful cricket session, in which we got a taste of what it would be like to play for a cricket team. Because of this, the whole school was allowed to have a breaktime on the field in the sunshine. Shakespeare class also showed off all their fantastic learning this morning during worship. We particularly enjoyed the bubbling potion. We are sorry to let you know we won’t be writing next week as we are on residential. We look forward to the last week of this term! See you next week for some more fabulous learning.

Head Pupil certificates went to Samantha, Evie W and Edith.
