Here's what's happening at East Meadows.....
It's hard to believe we are nearing the end of term 2 and are almost halfway through the school year. Our second SEP Conferences will be held next week on Thursday, December 7th. The SignUp Genius link is included below. The PTA is also needing some help with food donations for the teacher dinner the night of SEP's. If you'd be willing to help, click on the included link.
We have a fun filled month planned which starts today with our Mustang Pride Assembly on December 1st at 9:00 AM. We will have activities throughout the month from dress up days to singing around the tree, all the events are included in this newsletter. Our PTA is hosting a FREE FAMILY SKATE NIGHT on December 12th at Classic Fun Center in Orem. It will be a fun night for the whole family so mark your calendars!
With the cold weather upon us, please review our cold weather procedures. Students should come each day dressed for the weather and should plan on being outside most days unless the temperatures are too low or the air quality is poor. We suggest labeling coats, jackets and other personal items with your child's name so they can be returned if misplaced.
The last day of school prior to the break is Friday, December 22nd which is a half day of school. Students will be dimissed at noon. Lunch will be served an hour earlier that day. Classes will resume again on Monday, January 8th. We want to wish you a very happy holiday and wonderful New Year!

Free Family Skate Night
The PTA is excited to announce that we will be holding a Free Family Night @ Classic Fun Center in Orem for all East Meadows Families! It will be held on December 12th from 5pm-9pm. See flyer for details.
One of the goals of the PTA this year is to improve student wellbeing. We hope that this free activity helps us to achieve this goal by bringing students, families, and East Meadows Community together for a night of fun!
Playground Pals Program
The PTA started a new program this year called Playground Pals. This program allows parents and community members the opportunity to have lunch with the students and play with them at recess. We have had great success with this program so far! The kids have loved having their parents during lunch recess and the faculty has appreciated the extra help and supervision. We will continue this program throughout the rest of the school year and need parents to sign up. Always plan for an outside recess day. In the event that recess has been moved inside you may bring a game to play with students in their classroom.
