Distance Learning Announcements and Updates, 10/23/2020
A Message from Principal Ghereben
Thank you again for another great week of partnering with us through Distance Learning!
What a great week we had! Thursday we hosted the second session of the Proctor Parent Academy. Our Counselor,Julie Fisher gave a presentation on How can we support our children’s mental health and well-being during COVID-19, and can we take care of ourselves. We will make this available on our school website for those of you who could not join us. Next month our District behaviorist will host another session on how to support your child's behavior at home while in distance Learning.
There are a more announcements and events to make note of below!
Have a wonderful weekend!

PROCTOR HALLOWEEN CAR PARADE, FRIDAY, OCTOBER 30TH!
We are excited to announce that we have been given the approval to host a Halloween Car Parade in our large lower parking lot, on Friday, October 30th! Save the date and adjust your schedule so we can all come together (safely and socially distanced of course), for some community and family fun!
Proctor students and families will be invited to drive through the Large Lower Parking lot where teachers will be spread out along the outside perimeter of the parking lot, and drop-off zone to greet students and families as they slowly enter and circle through the Parking lot.
To help with the flow of traffic, we are asking all cars to make a right-hand turn as they exit the parking. Signs will be posted!
To also help prevent traffic issues, we will have staggered start times by LAST NAMES:
When: Friday, October 30th
1:30pm - 1:45pm - For last names (A-G)
1:45pm - 2:00pm - For last names (H-M)
2:00pm - 2:15pm - For last names (N-S)
2:15pm - 2:30pm - For last names (T-Z)
Families can come in costume and decorate their cars with a fun Halloween theme (please no scary/gory decor - Family Friendly themes only). Teachers will also be in costume as we greet you all through the parade route!
For the SAFETY of ALL, families MUST be in cars at ALL times, and NO walk-throughs will be permitted!

PTA Announcements and Updates!
Dear Proctor Community,
While we strive to maintain consistency by holding our PTA meeting on the first Tuesday of each month, we feel it's important to shift our November PTA meeting back one week, so as not to overlap with Election Day.
While the PTA is a non-partisan organization, we understand that this Election is a significant day for many of our families, and we expect that many of our Proctor families will be voting or otherwise closely following the events and reporting of Election Day.
Therefore we will be holding our November PTA Meeting on:
Tuesday, November 10th.
6:30 - 8:00 PM
