8th Grade Slideshow Virtual Event-Thursday, May 21st @ 2:00pm
Due to our current circumstances, we are not able to bring our 8th graders together to celebrate them as they finish their middle school journey and transition to high school. We have worked closely with Severance Middle School and have decided our students will be invited to attend a live streaming slideshow event on Thursday, May 21st at 2:00pm. In addition, certificates and awards will be sent home in the mail. We hope that our families will then take a picture of their student with their certificate and awards and email it to us to create a slideshow of all of the students in the 2020 8th grade class. We have extremely heavy hearts in not being able to celebrate these amazing students in person, but we want to give them mementos to remember their middle school years at Windsor Middle School.
Today is Your Last Chance to Sign Up For Student Item Retrieval (May 15)
Due to the recent announcement of our school being closed for the remainder of the school year, we would like to provide you and your child the opportunity to retrieve any personal items and/or return items belonging to the school. We offered 20-minute time slots this past week, May 11-15, in order for you and your child to:
Return:
School-owned band instruments
library books
textbooks
wrestling uniforms
Collect:
fee reimbursement for canceled programs (track, wrestling state tournament, Shrek t-shirts, and Choir trip)
medications stored in the health room
wrestling pictures
Gather all personal items from lockers (P.E., Band, General) and Lost and Found
Today will be the last day the school will be open in order for you to do so. Use this link to sign-up for a 20-minute time slot to get these things taken care of.
Please know that when you come to the building for your designated time, we will only be allowing your student and one family member. We will adhere to guidelines from the health department at all times including: a 6-foot distance between all people and masks covering mouth and nose are to be worn. Please DO NOT come to the building if you are feeling ill or have a fever.
At this point, our yearbooks will not be ready for delivery - we will be in communication with an upcoming date and time in which you can come and pick yearbooks up. Please continue to keep your district Chromebook, your child will need that through the last day of school (May 21).
Thank you for your partnership!

In the first phase, we ask parents, students, and faculty to nominate teachers they think go above and beyond their job description, and tell their stories about these special individuals. Our selection committee then takes the top 6 submissions from that month and allows our community to vote on them. Whichever teacher has the most votes after a roughly week-long period wins the contest for that month, and will be announced on-air & online.
The winning teacher will be featured on our website and receive a $25 gift card to the Union or Rodizio Grill, and their school will receive a $500 donation provided by the University of Northern Colorado."
