Halloween/Fall Harvest Parties

Halloween Guidelines: 2021-22

Students are welcome to come to school on Thursday, October 28 in their Halloween costumes. The district face mask requirements MUST be followed regardless of whether a student participates in dressing up or not. Please remember that costumes need to be school-appropriate and meet our dress code policy (hats are an exception). Costumes need to be worn to school and will remain on the student for the entirety of the day. There will be no time for changing in or out of costumes during the school day.

Costume masks, face paint or make-up, props/accessories that are carried, and costumes that symbolize hate or are considered offensive WILL NOT BE PERMITTED. Students who come to school with a costume that does not follow our dress code or the Halloween costume guidelines will be sent to the office and parents will be contacted.

We thank you for paying close attention to these details in order to ensure a safe and enjoyable day for all members of our school community.

Team t-shirts were delivered to many of our students today! We are continuing to work through shipping issues, and some shirts are still on their way to us! If you are still waiting for a shirt, it is on it's way! Ms. Bru talked with your child and you should have received an email if your child's shirt was not in the first delivery.

We do have a VERY LIMITED supply of leftover shirts in SOME colors. Please send an email to or have your child stop by Ms. Bru's office to see what's available.

Sycamore Schools Community Tour - Curriculum Review

Sycamore Community Schools is currently engaged in the first year of implementation of our new strategic plan to empower all learners to reach their full potential in a globally competitive world. An important goal of this plan is to enhance academic achievement.

To support this goal, the district has partnered with Education Elements to conduct a thorough curriculum review to gain an understanding of current curriculum resources and how those resources impact instruction and student learning. The complete curriculum review will provide information regarding alignment and identify areas of need and growth.

We would like to invite families to join us to learn more about the curriculum review and its findings. These virtual, informational sessions will be led by representatives from Education Elements.

Virtual sessions will be held:

Sessions will be recorded and viewed after the session. The recording of sessions will be available on the district website.

Staff of the Month - Nomination form

We invite students and parents to nominate a staff member who they believe makes the Greene School a great place to learn.
