Thank you!
Discovery Ridge Elementary Families! Please hear us say a HUGE “Thank you!” to our students, staff, and donors for this incredible Discovery Ridge Elementary Fun Run fundraiser.
We are on track for meeting our $20,000 goal for Building & Audio Visual Improvements. This will directly impact our students and staff! Our students ran 35 laps for 45 minutes combined to help our school.
We're excited to announce our total fundraising early next week!

Helpful Ideas from your DRE Counselors!
October
What Every Child Needs for Good Mental Health
Unconditional Love: Remind your child that their family’s love for them does not depend on their accomplishments. Help your child feel that you would choose them again and again to be your child. Self-Confidence: Set realistic goals that match your child’s abilities. Focus on the process rather than the outcome. Be sure to only tell them to do things that you are sure they can accomplish.
Playtime: In our goal-oriented society, we all need time to unwind to learn how to get along with others, to develop a sense of belonging, and to simply relax. Remind your child that resting is equally important as working hard.
Firm Rules: Establish, display, revisit, and revise rules about everything, including social media, school work, behavior, attitude, and chores. Mean what you say, say what you mean, and do what you say you are going to do. When consequences are needed, remember that the behavior does not define your child. Separate the behavior from the person.
Freedom of Expression: Be present for your child. Create space for them to talk to you and allow yourself to actively listen, selectively share, and honestly enjoy. important.

Compass Health Open Access Information
What is OPEN ACCESS at Compass Health? Open access provides clients the flexibility to walk into any of our offices when they are ready to receive
care.
What happens during OPEN ACCESS? When the client enters the building, they are greeted by our customer relation specialists and asked to complete a few forms that will include background and financial information.
A basic screening tool is completed to determine each client's symptoms level. The client will be assigned to an access specialist at the moment, who will provide a basic introduction to the session and explain the process.
So, what IS the process? You will be asked questions so our team can understand your needs and how to assist you quickly. The access specialist and the client work together during the session to ensure the treatment recommendation is person-centered and individualized. The client will be enrolled in the recommended program that day so that services can start immediately.
What next? The treatment team will wrap around the client services and reach out for the next appointment. This ensures that all team members are on the same page and the client receives focused attention and collaboration.
OUR BEHAVIORAL HEALTH STAFF IS HAPPY TO ANSWER ANY QUESTIONS YOU MIGHT HAVE. IF YOU ARE IN IMMEDIATE CRISIS, OUR SUPPORT LINE IS STAFFED 24/7,
