June 2022 - Caring, Connection, Celebration
MESSAGE FROM THE SUPERINTENDENT
Dear EWRSD Community:
As we say farewell to another school year and look ahead to the summer, I just wanted to
express my appreciation for the amazing efforts and perseverance of our students, staff, and families. Although this year has certainly been challenging, it has also been tremendously rewarding and encouraging to witness a renewed sense of community in each of our schools, and the many successes of our talented students. This culminated with the recent celebration of the graduating Class of 2022, which served as a significant milestone and accomplishment for the 400 seniors who concluded their educational journey in the EWRSD. As they transition to college, the military, trade school, or the workforce, their time in the EWRSD has provided them with a collection of meaningful learning experiences and relationships that will certainly contribute to a productive and fulfilling future.
A special thank you is extended to the caring and dedicated teachers and staff within our
district, who have been instrumental in continuing to educate and inspire the academic and social-emotional development of our students this year.
I also need to extend sincere gratitude to our very supportive parents and family members. Thank you for your valued partnership and for providing the strong foundation necessary to ensure students receive much needed love and guidance during their educational journey.
As you know, the past two years have been unique and an ongoing learning experience for us all. Throughout the various changes and hurdles, our district, through the support of our Board of Education, has worked diligently to remain focused on placing the needs of students at the forefront of our decision making. The past two years illustrate the impact of our collective efforts and that we are truly stronger when we work together. I continue to be filled with optimism as we prepare for the 2022-23 school year.
Wishing everyone a very safe and relaxing summer!
Sincerely,
Mark Daniels
