RFHE Parent Newsletter
January 2021
Welcome Back and Happy 2021!
In January, all students will be assessed to measure their academic growth since the beginning of the school year. Those results will be shared with you.
Now that Semester 2 is here, we will continue our academic focus and high expectations for learning. Please continue to help support their academic growth by making sure they are reading each night and doing any homework that has been assigned to them.

Transportation Changes Reminder
Transportation changes for dismissal need to be made in writing and include the date and a parent/guardian signature. If an emergency should arise, parents may call the front office at (903) 663-8003 ext. 3824 before 2:30pm to request a change with principal approval. Please do not email or text your child’s classroom teacher with a transportation change.

Water Bottles
We are still awaiting our touchless water fountains and until those arrive, we need every student to continue to bring their own water bottle/thermos already filled with water each school day. Water will be made available with water bottles on hand for those who need it but with 600 students, this supply can be depleted quickly. Thank you for your help with this!

Daily Pre-Screening Reminder
All students and staff members should be pre-screened according to TEA/CDC guidelines before arriving at school each day. Pre-screening will include making sure none of the following symptoms/situations are present:
- Cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, chills, repeated shaking with chills, muscle pain, headache, sore throat, loss of taste or smell, diarrhea, feeling feverish or a measured temperature of greater than or equal to 100.0 degrees F, known close contact with a person who is lab confirmed to have COVID-19
Parents must ensure they do not send their student to school if the child has COVID-19 symptoms or is lab-confirmed with COVID-19. It will be very important that you notify the office of any symptoms or changes that need to be made so that we can ensure continuity of services for all students. Please do not hesitate to call the office if you have ANY questions! We will be happy to help!!
