Please join us for our 5k and 1 mile event on Saturday, November 14. This is a major fundraiser for our school, and for a scholarship fund we have established in memory of John “Ralphie” McDaid a former Lincoln student and APS alum who passed away in 2011.
Entry forms are available on-line @ www.runningwithes.com under “Events,” and in the school office.
To prepare for Fall Into Fitness, Lincoln's running and walking club begins this Wednesday October 7th after school until 5pm. The sign up sheet is available at school, or on our Facebook page. Clip Charts and Student Behavior/Discipline
Our Clip Charts and the Colors our student "earn" are a meaningful and significant part of your child's day. However, this is only a small portion of the day. We send these daily forms home daily to promote good communication. Though we all have the same expectations for behavior and discipline, there are differences on how individual teachers, grade levels, and classrooms address how positive behaviors and discipline issues are communicated. This is a good thing, as it gives teachers and staff the ability to form their own pedagogy and art of teaching kids. That said, please know that if anything significant happens at school, be it a positive or a challenge, it will be thoroughly communicated to you from school beyond the Clip/Color Chart.
Families, if you have any questions or concerns about school, please contact your child's teacher. If you don't find the answers to your questions or concerns, please contact me. I am always willing and available to assist, talk, meet.....
Thank you,
Mr. Skeels
Safety before and after school
Be on the lookout for some positive changes to the intersection of Maumee St. and Scott St. The City of Adrian, APS, and the Michigan Department of Transportation are in the process of making this intersection and area safer and less congested for our students, families, pedestrians and motorists. Please always be safe and alert during these high traffic times: Always check for traffic before releasing children from a vehicle, use our crossing guards and crosswalks, and please follow traffic laws to help ensure the safety of all.
