ELA

Reading- Next week we will continue focusing on point of view. Students are working on understanding how different characters in a story can feel differently about the same event. We will also work on comparing the plots of stories written by the same author about the same or similar characters.

Writing- Next week students will be typing the narrative story that they have spent time working on. Throughout the typing process, students will edit their work. Once their story is typed, they will do final revision and editing to complete their final draft.

Math

We needed an extra day to finish up work on our first unit, so we will be taking the unit 1 post assessment on Monday. Students will then reflect on their graded test to set a goal of what they need to work on for the week. For the remainder of the week, students will focus on practice work to reinforce or deepen their understanding of skills practiced throughout the unit.
