Golden Rivers
A gateway to the gold fields
In the late 1840s...
The gold rush begins. Mass hoardes of people move out to the west. Marysville, California is born. Californians involved will never forget.
During the gold rush, Marysville was essential. Because of it's location at the base of two large rivers (The feather and Sacremento rivers), it was used as a trade city. Lots of small markets were established, run to lure in the miners as they prepared to set out to the gold fields.
