As one of our first events to CELEBRATE the 100th year of Holy Name of Jesus Catholic School, we are inviting ALL current and former faculty, staff and administrators of HNCS to join us here at Holy Name Church for 10:30 AM Mass on Sunday, September 18 which is Catechetical Sunday. Following Mass, we will be serving coffee and donuts while we have the opportunity to visit and reminisce. More information will be coming SOON!

Oktoberfest News!

Maintenance and Grounds Keeper for Central Catholic

Central Catholic School, located in the Garfield Park neighborhood, is seeking a full-time, 12 month maintenance person to oversee the day to day appearance, security, and operation of school building and surrounding property. Duties include:

  • Routine cleaning and maintenance throughout the day including trash removal, toilet clogs, floor cleaning, etc.
  • Complete routine inspections, repairs, and maintenance tasks on all mechanical equipment, electrical systems, plumbing, doors, kitchen equipment, furniture, fixtures, and vehicles including changing of filters and lightbulbs, cleaning of plumbing traps, etc.
  • Coordinate all third-party contracted repairs, maintenance, and improvements
  • Schedule appropriate inspections and manage certifications for Central Catholic School.
  • Maintain detailed service records for all structures and systems

Homecoming Tent Party

Join us for the Homecoming Tent Party on September 16!

Roncalli welcomes back alumni and friends to a rocking post game Homecoming celebration on Friday, September 16, 2022! Post game party tickets are now available at https://boostmyschool.com/roncalli-homecoming-tent-party for $10.


The fun starts immediately following the half-time presentation. Alumni, parents, past parents and friends of Roncalli are all invited to the post party in the tent in the parking lot. There will be snacks, a cash bar and music by local favorite band Endless Summer!

Roncalli Shadow Program


Roncalli is excited to welcome future Royals to campus for the Royal for a Day Program, and days are already filling up! All shadows will be on an individual basis, with 8 students being able to join us each day. All visits will be on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Roncalli Lady Royal Youth Basketball

All 3rd – 6th Grade Girls,

Roncalli Lady Royal Youth Basketball will be holding tryouts to assemble 3rd – 6th grade girls basketball teams. If you are interested in an experience that will focus on fundamental development, competitive games and fun we would love to see you.

Roncalli teams will be competing, this year, in the Midwest Youth Tourney (MYT) Leagues for two sessions (fall & winter), the complete dates are listed below for your review. Our goal is to field 2 competitive teams at each grade level for both sessions. Player fees will be $200.

Tryouts will be held at Roncalli High School in the ASV Gymnasium (Main Gym) on the following dates and times:

3rd & 4th Grades 5:30 Registration, 6:00 – 7:30 Tryouts

5th & 6th Grades 7:00 Registration, 7:30 – 9:00 Tryouts

It is recommended for the girls to attend both tryout sessions if possible, but if your schedule only permits one night that is acceptable. Following tryouts, final team selections will be communicated via email.
