Congratulations Class of 2022!
Dear Crusader Families,
The weather is so beautiful as we graduated the Class of 2022! We wish our new graduates all the success they can find!
This week brought us our last Crusader Rally of the year. Please take a moment and watch the video below to see what each grade wished for their 8th grade Crusaders! After the Rally, the school lined the halls to celebrate the 8th graders last dismissal from Divine Providence School. This can be found on our Facebook page. Finally, after 8th grade dismissed, the rest of the school had the opportunity to step up into their next grade! Kindergarten visited 1st grade, 1st grade went to 2nd grade, etc. They met the teacher and shared ideas of what next year will be like for them.
DP 3rd graders presented two plays for our students and third grade families to enjoy. They did an outstanding job memorizing lines, creating their costumes and even creating scenery. Big thank you to Mrs. Heil for helping the students have this amazing learning opportunity.
Our Kindergarten class went "camping, and our preschool, Jr. Kindergarten and Kindergarten enjoyed a field trip to Brookfield Zoo. Preschool ended the week with songs for their families followed by a carnival.
We continue to look for lunch and recess monitors for next school year. If you know of anyone interested, please have them contact me! Students have lunch and recess on all full days of school from 11:30 - 12:30.
The School Advisory Board continues to look for new members. Our School Advisory Board consists of school stakeholders- parents, parishioners and community members to work with the school leadership. The board is advisory and therefore is commissioned to offer suggestions and advice regarding the vitality and continued success of the school. To apply to be on the School Advisory Board click here.
Looking ahead to the final week of school:
- Full days of school on Monday and Tuesday (June 6th and 7th)
- 1:30 dismissal on Wednesday, Wednesday, June 8th. ALL students will be provided a cold box lunch on this day (they are welcome to bring their own food as well) and will eat outside, wether permitting. Please have your child bring a blanket or towel to sit on. There is no after care on our final day of school.
As we look ahead to next year... don't forget that we have a service for all your school supplies! It really is a great way to save money compared to buying them yourself. Also, Please make your child's doctor, dentist or vision appointments. Click here for the requirements by grade.
A more detailed calendar for next school year will be coming out soon. Until then- August 24th will be our first day of school with an 11:30AM dismissal. August 25 and 26 will be 1:30 dismissal and first full day is Monday, ,August 29th.
Thank you for allowing us to be your partner with Catholic Education!
God bless!
Lynn LeTourneau
Principal
This video is an Archdiocese mission to recruit high quality teachers in our school system. What an honor that they chose our school and that they see the quality teachers we have at DP!
