Its May!!

Dear Parents,

I hope that you enjoyed the beautiful weather we had this weekend! This week is Teacher Appreciation week and there are so many reasons to celebrate our teachers!. Over night our team of teachers have created online learning platforms, adjusted their teaching hours, learned new technology, read to students and learned how to "hang out" with their kiddo's in order to continue to support their education. Thank you to our teachers for engaging, empowering and inspiring our McKinley students even from a distance!

A huge thank you to Rego's Brickhouse Pizza for helping the administrative team feed our teacher's families a wonderful meal this week. We can't thank you enough for your generosity and kindness!

Make it a great week ,

Mrs Fischer

Thank you to all the students and parents that sent in video's and pictures for our "What we miss about McKinley" video. The staff loved seeing the kids smiling faces. It brought such joy and quite a few tears.

Wednesday is National School Nurse Day. If you have a moment, I am sure our school nurse would love a note of thanks. You can e mail it to and I will make sure they receive them.

Thursday is Thankful Thursday. Consider sending a video or thank you note for your teacher, you can submit it in Google Classroom or Class Dojo.

Friday is selfie with the sub!! Don't forget to thank your substitute teachers. This is your parents, grand parents or any other adult that is helping you with school work. They are doing a GREAT job being your substitute teacher during this online learning.
