Hi Kodiaks,
Well we hope you are learning a lot online today, and aren't feeling too lonely at home. Even though most classes are not meeting, the campus is still open-- so if you want to visit the Bock Learning Center, the Library, Kodiak Corner, the ARC, or other student services on campus, they are open and would love to see you. Most meetings and events are canceled. Student clubs are not meeting. But we do still have some announcements for you about opportunities to participate, engage, and grow:
Scholarship applications extended to March 20th
Attending Cascadia next year? Want help paying for it? We have scholarships for honor students, low income, first generation college students, LGBTQ+, STEM majors, and more. Applying is easy: complete one, short application and be considered for dozens of awards. International and undocumented students are encouraged to apply. Download the application at the link below, or pick one up at the Foundation Office in CC2-281.
Applications are due Friday, March 20, 2020

S&A fee budget committee
Time is almost up to join the S&A Budget committee and have a say in how your student fees are spent. Cascadia is seeking students to make decisions regarding budget allocations for student activities and resources. The applications are due this Friday, March 10th by 5 pm. Wondering about the do's and don'ts of masks?
With increased conversation about Covid 19 and seeing more people wearing masks it can become confusing as to what they mean and the purpose they serve. Here is a brief article discussing the purpose of different mask and respirator types:
Club meetings on campus are canceled for the rest of winter quarter. But you can always reach out to them via email to find out more.

We want to give students an opportunity to put aside their academics and homework once a week, meet friends, and work on art together.

C.C. Bhangra
We want to teach people about the folk dance of India and bring people of our community in once place to be comfortable with each other. We also want to incorporate people from other cultures so we can learn and grow as dancers.

Chinese Communication Club
We are aiming to make connections between Chinese culture and students at Cascadia, through experiences with traditional Chinese activities, arts, and food. We also hope to bring delightful and unforgettable memories to the club members by using Chinese culture as a medium.
D&D Club
D&D Club is an inclusive environment for game-lovers, RPG (role-playing game) players, table-top gamers, actors, writers and anyone with a flair for imagination. We will work to promote team building, problem solving, conflict resolution, improvisational skills, world building exercises, character creation workshops, cooperation skills and similar ideas. We welcome new and experienced players and DMs (Dungeon Masters) from all walks of life.

The purpose of our club is to build community among students interested in biological sciences and medical professions. Through outreach projects, career exploration, and professional networking, we hope to connect students to people and opportunities that will help further their education in the medical or research field.

Japanese Culture Club
We want to share the Japanese culture in Cascadia community and create a safe place for cultural dialogue, exchange and respect. We will also share skills in calligraphy, Karate and Kendo.

Our purpose is to introduce Korean language to students through exploring Korean cultural mediums such as K-pop songs, K-dramas, and Korean movies, while also doing fun activities in Korean so we can learn and practice together.
LGBTQ+ Club
The purpose of our club is to provide a safe and supportive space for LGBTQIA+ members, as well as for allies and inquisitive minds. We value and foster an environment of acceptance, trust, and a sense of belonging while embracing our diversity.
