All Things Rushing!
Principal's Message!
Another exciting, busy week in the books! I want to continue to thank everyone for working so diligently to create a school year as close to "normal" as possible for our kiddos. Our athletes are playing, our fine arts students are performing, we have clubs meeting a wide variety of interests, and we are knocking it out of the park academically! So very proud of everyone's hard work and dedication. I cannot say it enough, this is an unprecedented year, we should be proud of what we have accomplished and excited about what we have ahead of us!
Please take the time to peruse the S'more to make sure you are not missing any of the fabulous things we have going on and coming up at Rushing!
As always, please reach out with any questions or concerns! Thank you for your continued support and, as I have said, with GRACE, GRATITUDE, and KINDNESS, we can resolve any issue and move forward for the success of our students at Rushing Middle School, GO RAPTORS!
Sincerely,
Danielle Wallace

Counselor Update and High School Orientation Information!
Hello! It is the last week of January and we have much to look forward to in February. More about that in a bit, but first January 25th is almost here. PHS Counselors will be speaking to our 8th graders about all things HS during US History classes on January 25th. Remember that Skyward is open for HS course selection until February 5th.
February will be full of exciting things! Black History Month, Hope Week, National School Counseling Week, Stuff the Bus, Guidance lessons on Xello for our 6th graders and an Introduction to Endorsements for graduation for our 7th graders. Middle school course selections will open in Skyward on 2/23. Mrs. Finch and Mrs. Jones will visit our feeder elementary campuses to talk to the 5th graders about Rushing from 2/24-2/26.
We hope you have a great week!
In the past, Prosper ISD has been able to host an EXPO Night for students to come to the high school and explore their options prior to course selection. This year we are unable to have the event in person, but each high school has put together a website that highlights the options available to our students including fine arts, athletics, and career and technical education courses. Each school’s website can be found at the link below.
