Hello Families and Friends of Cadott Elementary - PACE would love your help!
PACE - People Active in Cadott Education
PACE is our school group that provides the funds and volunteer time for so many things for our children and families.
MEETINGS:
Everyone is welcome to our monthly meetings, including children. Often times there are other children present and we can always reserve the gym if we have many children present. We are not formal, we have fun, and our meetings usually only last an hour long. It is not required to be at every meeting, if you can make it to two out of the whole year that is awesome!
FUNDRAISING:
We are the fundraiser people, but these fundraisers provide so much goodness for our students and families.
VOLUNTEERING/DONATING:
Here are a few examples of how PACE funds are used directly for students: field trips, classroom games, weekly book drawings, this year the 4k classrooms got new trikes, field day, and so much MORE!
PACE also provides fun activities for our families: Bingo, Paint Party Night, Daddy Daughter Dance, Magician Night, Muffins for Mom/Donuts for Dad, Teacher Appreciation Week, and more!
New this year! PACE is providing all non-educational supplies: Kleenex, hand sanitizer, disinfecting wipes, Ziploc Bags, paper plates, paper towels, kinder mats, assignment notebooks, and more! That is an average total savings for each student of about $35. If you have more than one student in the elementary PACE provides exceptional family savings!!!
If your family needs help with any other school supplies, headphones, backpack, etc. please contact PACE President, Meagan Sonnentag, email, mmsonnentag07@hotmail.com, or phone (920)904-4462, PACE will do whatever we can to help your child(ren) start the school year on the right foot, happy, and ready for everything!
PACE would also like everyone to know that your monetary donations are always welcome! They can be dropped off in the elementary office with Ms. Lockbaum or Mrs. Miley.
Our first meeting of the year for 2017-2018 will be Tuesday August 22, 2017 in the Cadott park @ 6pm
Thank you! PACE volunteers
Art students add something new in the Elementary School!
Students have been working hard to add artwork to our school community. Recently, Mr. Beachem installed the student created chandelier in the entry way of the Elementary School. 2016's summer school students worked hard every day to create the brightly colored plastic discs hanging from the chandelier. The students used permanent markers to color on small plastic cups. With some help, these were melted down to create the look of vibrant glass. The project was inspired by Dale Chihuly, famous for his incredible hand-blown glass artwork. The chandelier is now on display for all to see, and I must say I couldn't be more proud of all the hard work our students have done!
Special thanks goes out to Mr. Beachem for installing the chandelier and a big thank you to Ms. Gustison and her high school Art Club students for piecing together the chandelier so beautifully!
-Ms. Rozeske
Medications at School: Please pick up at school before summer vacation.
All medications must be picked up at the end of the school year by the parent/guardian. Medication left in the office after school is out will be thrown away. This includes scheduled, as needed, and emergency medicine.
We will not send medication home at the end of the school year on the school bus for safety reasons.
Health and Medication Forms for 2017-2018 School Year
Also, if your child has any health condition such as allergies, asthma, and medications both prescription and non-prescription please check out the Cadott Website under District Services à Nursing Services. You can find all forms that need to be completed before the start of school. Please have your healthcare provider complete this summer and fax to school or drop off.

Cadott Elementary School Library is hosting a special summer reading program
This summer the Cadott Elementary School Library wants to help your child use reading to build a better world!
To help promote reading with students in our district over the summer months, the Cadott Elementary School Library will host a special summer reading program that will run from June 12th-August 17th to help your child keep active with and reward him/her for reading this summer. Students who participate in the “Build a Better World” reading program will earn unique dog tags for completing the program’s reading challenges. These dog tags will help students celebrate and show others all of the reading they have completed over the summer. Students who complete all of the summer reading challenges will be entered into a drawing to win a Kindle Fire Tablet!
For more information on the summer reading program, check out the “Build a Better World” Summer Reading Program letter and reading log/tracker today!
To enroll your child in the summer reading program (even if he/she will not attend summer school sessions), fill out the “Build a Better World” Summer Reading Program Sign-Up form OR send a note to Mr. Kotek in the Elementary LMC that your child would like to enroll in the program by Friday, May 26!

First Grade Shining Stars!
Wow, it has been a great year in first grade at Cadott Elementary. All of the students have shown stellar academic growth. We are confident they will review these skills in the summer through summer school opportunities and at home support. We have had many great learning experiences along with celebrations throughout the year. We visited Beaver Creek Reserve, the first grade health fair at the Chippewa Falls YMCA, Irvine Park, a play at the Children’s theater and a tour and lunch at Texas Roadhouse, a field day at the elementary school, and a visit to the fire station in Cadott as well as the public library and the Cadott Park. Thanks to all of the amazing Cadott citizens who make our school a great place to be!
