Fall 2018 End of Semester Updates
All Grade Levels
December 17th: Cookies & Cram in the library for students to study and get help before finals
December 19th-21st: Fall Finals - if students are going to miss school, they need to make arrangements w/ their teachers directly
Any Fs in core classes will need to be made up through summer school, online, or other alternative options.
January 8th: Spring Semester Begins.
February 7th: College Night for 9th-11th Grade Students
February 21st: AP/Honors Night
SRJC Spring Semester classes - registration opens 12/7 and students need to complete ALL steps prior to then:
Look at online schedule: https://classes.santarosa.edu/
Create an online SRJC account and get Student ID# (9 digit number)
Complete concurrent enrollment form and get ALL required signatures
Review any prerequisite requirements/take any placement tests for specific subjects (English, Math, Science & Language classes): https://assessment.santarosa.edu/
Turn form into SRJC Admissions & Records BEFORE you register
Register online during priority registration
Show counselor proof of registration
Senior Updates
College applications should now be submitted for UC schools and hopefully private/out of state schools will be done soon, (CSU Schools Extended their deadline to 12/15)
SRJC Jumpstart Forms are Due to Counselors by 12/10 for the Counseling 270 class!
FAFSA/CA Dream Act should also be completed, students have until March 2nd to submit.
January 23rd (PEF Office): PEF Scholarships are due by 4pm PEF online

Junior Updates
Registration for next year will be happening the week of January 14th, prior to then juniors should be reviewing their four year plan and exploring elective classes
PSAT Scores will be available online starting 12/12

Free SAT Intensive Prep classes continue at the Sonoma County Library – Petaluma Regional Library hosts a five-hour SAT Intensive Prep class on Thurs. Jan. 3, 2019 (part 1) and Sat. Jan. 5, 2019 (part 2) from 3-5:30 pm. Registration begins on Sat. Dec. 8 in person at the Petaluma Library. The bilingual registration form is available at the library's reference desk or can be downloaded athttp://sclib.us/WINTERIntensive. Free study guide provided. Space is limited to 25 juniors. SAT Intensive Prep classes are also available at Windsor, Central Santa Rosa, Cloverdale, Forestville, and Rincon Valley libraries in January and February—see full list at https://sonomalibrary.org/events/programs/the-path-to-college.
La biblioteca regional de Petaluma presenta dos Clases de Preparación Intensivo de SAT gratuitas con la consultora local de preparación de exámenes Ellen Jakes Kelm, PhD. Los estudiantes necesitan inscribirse y asistir a las DOS clases: Parte 1: jueves 3 de enero de 3:00 - 5:30 pm, y Parte 2: sábado 5 de enero de 3:00 - 5:30 pm. Registrese en personal comenzando el sabado 8 de diciembre a las 10 AM en cualquier biblioteca. Para estudiantes de 11 grado. Los formularios de inscripción están disponibles (http://sclib.us/WINTERIntensive) y en la Biblioteca y requieren la firma del padre y del estudiante. Todos los materiales de estudio están incluidos. Es espacio está limitado a 25 estudiantes del grado once solamente. Freshmen Updates
Counselors are visiting 9th grade classes on 11/29 & 11/30 to go over important information regarding 4 year plans, post-secondary plans, and so forth - all freshmen are receiving a yellow sheet with detailed information.
Registration for next year will be happening the week of February 4th, prior to then freshmen should be exploring elective classes
