General Requirments

  • You must be 18 years or older
  • You will have to be living in the U.S for five years with a green card.
  • Prove that you have been in the United States for 5 years
  • Be a person of good character
  • Demonstrate your knowledge of the U.S
  • Be able to read, speak, and write basic English
  • You must take an oath of allegiance to the States

The Stepts

  1. Determine if you are already a U.S citizen
  2. Acquire the qualifications of a U.s citizen
  3. Prepare for the Form N-400
  4. Submit the form for Naturalization
  5. Get a background check from the FBI
  6. Complete the Interview
  7. Receive an answer (denied or granted)
  8. Receive a notification for the oath of allegiance
  9. Take the Oath of Allegiance
  10. Understand being a part of United States of America

  • Pay income and other taxes
  • Serve on jury when called upon
  • Defend the country if needed
