Thanksgiving Break

We hope you and your family have a wonderful Thanksgiving.

We are Thankful for the Shimek Community and all your support.

Barnes and Noble Book Fair

Attention Shimek Families: On November 30th, the Shimek PTO will be hosting our first Barnes and Noble book fair at Coral Ridge Mall. As part of this event, proceeds from sales of games, toys, books, Starbucks coffee, calendars, and other items in the store will go to the Shimek PTO. This is a great opportunity to start your holiday shopping for family as well as Shimek teachers and the BASP program. When shopping in the store, reference the voucher below or use the voucher code ID12570651 to make online purchases from November 30 - December 4.

To help with your shopping, the PTO has put together a teacher wish list that can be accessed here:

1ST PLACE Traveling Torch Trophy for The Run For The Schools 2019!

Shimek Students, Staff, and Family Members....

We earned the 1ST PLACE Traveling Torch Trophy for The Run For The Schools 2019! Way to go. Thank you to all the students and families for participating and putting up with reminder emails. We increased our participation from last year which helps our school and our community. In addition to earning the 1st place trophy the Media Center and Physical Education both get $200 to spend on the needs of the students.

It was great to see so many Shimek students and family members at the event and I am very impressed to know that you all made a great healthy choice to start your days on a chilly October morning while supporting your community.

Thanks again and congratulations.
