NURSE'S CORNER
Hello and happy February everyone! The kids are coming into the nurse complaining that they are cold. Please have them dress appropriately for the weather. I don’t have enough jackets and sweaters for everyone. If you are getting rid of any gently used pants/leggings, sweaters or jackets size 7/8 or 10/12 I would appreciate any donations.
Holidays to observe in February:
February 14th Valentine’s Day
February 20th President’s Day (No School)
February monthly Observations: American Heart Month, Black History Month, Ethnic Equality Month, National Cancer Prevention Month. These are only a few of the monthly observations, there are too many to name.
I’ve noticed that there have been a lot of kids out of school in the past 2 months due to Flu and colds, please DO keep your kids home if they don’t feel well. If they have a fever (above 100.0) we don’t want them here. Yes, we want them at school but if they are sick please keep them home. If they do have a fever remember they must be fever free for 24 hours before returning to school. Thank you all for your cooperation.
Immunizations, thank you to all of the parents and guardians who have been on top of getting them done. I really appreciate it. if you know your child has their 11th birthday coming, Please schedule them for their Tdap/MCV4 vaccines. This is a state requirement. I always send out reminders because I know life gets in the way. I actually will send out letters for the kids turning 11 in February. Please let me know if you’ve made an appointment.
I still have Backpacks and Water Bottles, if anyone needs one please let me know.
Feel free to call me anytime at 928-505-6042, please leave a message if I’m not available. I will return your call.
Ms. Kat (Nurse)
