Coping with test anxiety.
March is here and it is testing season! Here are some strategies to help your student if they get anxious when it comes time to take a test.
Introducing MOCOCAP
Montgomery County Career Advising Program (MoCoCAP) is an new collaborative effort headed by WorkSource Montgomery, along with partners Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS), Montgomery College, and the Universities at Shady Grove.
The goal is to address one of the requirements from the College and Career Readiness pillar laid out by the state's new initiative: Blueprint for Maryland's Future.
This includes getting students up to meet the state's new College and Career Readiness standard by the end of their 10th grade year, developing clear career pathways.
Our advisor is Ms. Rivera and she will be giving some lessons to all 6th graders. to help identify their strengths, interests and values.
We are so excited to welcome this program to SCMS.
The therapy dogs will be here on March 18!!!!
Students should listen to morning announcements to see if it is there turn to visit with the dogs.
