Math Lesson Checkpoints

  • Never Say Anything a Kid Can Say: Who is doing the most work? Teacher or students. How long are you standing at the front of the room showing and talking?
  • Differentiation: Are you assigning center/station activities based on student needs/student data


Planning tools should include the curriculum frameworks (unpack the curriculum) and plan backwards with the end in mind (what do kids need to do for end of year PALS; unit tests, released tests, benchmark test).
