Jags Hunt for the Cure
We know these are trying economic times, but before the COVID 19 Pandemic was upon us, St. Margaret Mary School was asked by a team of Pope John Paul II High School students to support them in their effort to raise money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. They are participating as a team in the 2020 Students of the Year Program, a seven week initiative in which select high school students from around the country participate in a fund raising competition to benefit the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS). Their mission is to not only raise the most money but to bring attention to blood cancers like leukemia, which is the most common form of cancer in children and teens.
The PJP students have a challenge this week that ends on Thursday. It is to raise the most money for the LLS. Several SMM Alums are on this team – Ethan Abbenante, Abby Cappy, Ashley Mahoney, Joey Estopinal, Bailey Brouillette, Chloe Couvillion, Paige Gaubert, Ari Caruso, Kaitlyn Vidrine, Lincoln Oertling, and Maddy Gonlag - and they are asking you to help.
For SMM students, families, and alumni: If you donate $10 or more to LLS by clicking on the donation link below, at any time between Sunday, May 17 through Thursday, May 21, your name will be placed in a drawing for a Cane’s basket worth $100. You must do two things in order to be eligible:
1. Donate
2. Comment “done, “donated” or place a check mark
The drawing will be held live on Facebook on Friday, May 22d.
Here is the link for donating and to our Jags Hunt for the Cure’s SOY Fundraising Page:

The PJP students thank you in advance for your generosity and prayers. Have a blessed week.
COULD YOU USE A MATH TUTOR RIGHT ABOUT NOW?
If interested, you may contact her by phone at (985) 502-1532 or by email at kendraww@charter.net.
Yearbook Update
Our Yearbook may look a little different from previous years, but it will still be full of wonderful pictures of your children. We will offer an opportunity for you to purchase a congratulatory ad or a business ad at a small cost. This information will be sent to you this coming week. Please look for it in an email.
Since copies are limited and school schedules continue to change, we ask that you please order your year- book online as soon as possible. Jostens offers a payment plan at checkout for your purchase if you would like to use that option
