Using an iPad to teach Story Elements
Above is a process board displaying how a classroom iPad is used to enhance a lesson. Students were paired up and asked to create the Title, the Plot (beginning, middle, end), the Character(s), or the Setting. They collaborated for 5 minutes to brainstorm ideas. The students named the title "The Dragon and the Princess." Then used the APP "Educreations" to write the title. The students responsible for the setting decided the story should take place in a castle and used their fingers to draw a castle with trees. The character group used the APP to draw a dragon and a princess. Each student responsible for the plot determined what happens in the beginning, the middle, and the end.
