Hello CCE families!
Happy May Everyone! It's hard to believe that we only have month left of school!
I wanted to inform everyone know that this week we will be having our end of the year assessments (MAP test). My class will be assessing on Monday and Wednesday. Students will be assessed on Reading and Math. They took the same test at the beginning of the year.
After assessments are final, I will be sending home a letter regarding spring parent conferences. This will allow you to see your child's growth and success in 1st grade this year.
Don't forget on Tuesday is our field trip to the Historical Park. Please see the field trip letter I sent home wtih your child for details regarding the field trip. If you haven't sent your $5.50 in, please do ASAP. :)
Also, just wanted to remind everyone about the Biscuits and Books Celebration on May 15th. We will have our parade that morning. Students will come dressed up like their main character in their Robert Munsch book. If you have any questions, please contact me.
Nurse Appreciation Week
The week of May 5-9, 2014, is Nurse Appreciation Week at Cottonwood Creek Elementary. We are so fortunate to have Nurse Pam taking such good care of our ‘Colts’ each and every day. Let’s show her how thankful we are for her kind heart. In order to show our appreciation, the week has been divided by grade levels. We suggest that each grade level learner bring the following item on their assigned day. Thank you in advance for participating in Nurse Appreciation Week. We know that Nurse Pam will be thrilled!
Bring a box of Kleenex
We're so cute!
