Teachers opinion on gum? Ew Yuck. Students on gum? Yay Yum. Have you ever wondered what it would be like if teachers actually accepted the fact of chewing gum? Now I could go on and on how gum is delicious and freshens your breath but that not the big points of gum there more important points to gum. Such as the fact it improves learning, it reduces cavities, and fastens your metabolism. Now its time to comprehend on how and why chewing gum actually improves learning.

The factors of GUM
It may be hard to believe but chewing gum actually helps students stay focused while in school. While so many kids struggle to not focus in class due to being tired or just lacking concentration in school. according to http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2013/03/130308093933.htm study's show " Chewing gum can help you stay focused for longer on tasks that require continuous monitoring. Previous research has shown that chewing gum can improve concentration in visual memory tasks. This study focused on the potential benefits of chewing gum during an audio memory task." Some people might disagree saying gum causes a mess or it is just a distraction, but when given to students, students prove to the point that chewing gum helps your brain power helping children concentrate more. Not only does gum give off the affect of being able to concentrate but it also keeps you alert and awake in class. A lot of students might not be able to sleep during the night although that is no problem at night students wake up all tired and unprepared for what the day has in store. Chewing gum keeps you awake and alert by causing you to chew up and down have your jaw do action as you race back into being awake.
