Woohoo! We made it to the end of the first marking period! When we opened for face to face learning on August 31st, I was unsure how long we could stay open in this COVID environment. I am so proud of how our school community has worked together to ensure that our Huskies remain healthy and safe. As the new marking period begins we must remain vigilant with following health guidelines. We all know that COVID cases are rising in Michigan. The more you can do at home and in the community to keep health guidelines at the forefront, the longer we can keep our classrooms open. Enjoy your Halloween weekend while remaining cautious! Character defines us!
Confirmed Case: A person with laboratory confirmation of COVID-19 infection, irrespective of clinical signs and symptoms.
Starting next marking period (11/2) our elementary classrooms will begin utilizing Google Classroom. We will no longer be utilizing Odysseyware in our elementary classes. This allows our teachers to ensure that learning is aligned to what you have come to expect from Holly Academy.
We have completed our fall NWEA testing cycle. Student score reports will be mailed out next week. Should you have questions regarding your student’s individual scores, please contact your child’s teacher or Mrs. Potteiger. The data we receive from NWEA is used to inform our instruction for students at the individual level.
Beginning Monday, ALL elementary HVA students will transition to Google Classroom. All assignments are expected to be uploaded through Google Classroom. Teachers will not accept work that is emailed to the teacher. Moving to Google Classroom allows us to better align with what our face to face students are doing inside the classroom. Young 5’s through 2nd grade HVA families,
If you are receiving paper copies for your student to complete, they must be returned each week. It is incredibly important that our teachers are able to enter grades to make sure our families have the most current grade information.

The Holly Academy Education Foundation (HAEF) is pleased to continue offering engraved commemorative brick pavers to our school community. Brick pavers are an important contribution because they are a small monument of memorabilia left for future generations to come. These pavers are the perfect way to honor individuals, friends, groups, clubs or businesses. All proceeds go directly to support HAEF as it works to expand educational opportunities for Holly Academy students.

- Nov. 25 - Half day of school, dismiss at 11:30am
- Nov. 26 - Happy Thanksgiving
- Nov. 27 - No school

Our school is participating in a creative fundraiser with Art to Remember that allows you to purchase keepsake products customized with your child's art. There are over 60 products and many are less than $15.
