From Mrs. Wright...
Hello Craig Families,
We are so thankful to continue to bring students back to our school. We've had some really great days, and we know that it will only get better!
Just a reminder that on the GCPS survey where you selected digital learning or in-person learning, you were asked to make the commitment for the semester. At this time, we have worked hard to ensure that those students who selected in-person learning are placed in classrooms which allow us to maximize space and support social distancing and reduced class sizes. Changes for individual students are being considered for the second nine weeks, if needed to better serve the students. We will be doing individual consideration of students based on a student’s and families’ needs. Parents wanting an instructional learning change for second nine weeks need to complete the following survey by October 5, 2020. Once the school is able to review all of the information, we will communicate with each family.
I am so incredibly happy to serve the wonderful students and staff of Craig ES.
I appreciate your support!

Building Babies' Brains Day
The Gwinnett County Board of Education has proclaimed today, September 25, 2020, as Building Babies’ Brains Day in Gwinnett County Public Schools!
Only 48% of children in our community start school prepared to learn. Early brain development is a key factor in making sure children in Gwinnett County are ready to thrive in kindergarten and beyond!
Children exposed to positive early learning experiences—like reading, singing, and talking with caregivers—are less likely to have academic and behavioral problems in school. They are more likely to be strong readers by 3rd grade and graduate from high school.
This early learning initiative is vital to our community's success, Building Babies' Brains Gwinnett offers a toolkit with resources and opportunities to help enhance brain development in children under the age of 5 here: buildingbabiesbrains.com.
Visit Craig's Facebook page for updated information!
The flyer above is from GCPS to families as a reminder of the things they should look for before sending their child to school each day.
The flyer above provides information on where to find information about COVID-19 cases in Gwinnett County and in the school district.

Free Math Tutoring through BHS NHS
Brookwood High School National Honor Society is working with Covac Education, a student-run organization, to provide free tutoring sessions for elementary students in math! For students to take advantage of this, they just simply sign up online using an appointment form. After doing so, students are individually paired with a tutor from an NHS or other honor societies/volunteer organizations.
All tutoring sessions are completely free and are paired with Common-Core/Georgia Standards worksheets to help students make the most of their time. Additionally, all instructors are trained and have access to teaching directions based on specific Georgia standards (1nbt1, 1oa1 etc.).
