Building the Tabernacle - Sunday Night

Last time we looked at how the last six commandments revolve around our love for our neighbors and lead us away from the lie of self-worship. This week we will look at how the building of the tabernacle represents how God desires God's desire to build up His chosen people and how God used it to foreshadow His plan for us today. The passage for this week is Exodus 25:1-9; 39:32-43; 40:34-38 for those who would like to read ahead. See you all there!!!!!

The Dignity of Each Person

I read an article this week on the dignity that is inherent in each of us. So often we fall into the trap of defining the worth of an individual by what he/she does or does not have or can or cannot contribute to some arbitrary system we have erected. The truth, however, is that God made each one of us for His purposes and in His imagine not our own.

I too have found myself doing this from time to time. It is all too easy for me to see someone and judge them based on what I perceive to be of value. And yet, the Gospel is rather clear that we are all made in the image of God and made to bring glory to Him. Whether an individual is doing that is not for me to cast judgment upon. Rather, having experienced the indescribable love of God in my own life, I am to seek people to the ends of the earth and proclaim the good news of the Gospel and display the love of God shown to me to all that I encounter. I would encourage you to see people as God does, as image bearers worthy of the death of His Son. I have linked the article below. God Bless!!!!
